neutral  Jennifer Barnett: Vibes is 1960-70s hippy talk and, as far as I know, since then not much used until recently as a retro hip term, as your examples attest. Still, the context may demand it - if only we knew what that was. HINT HINT

  -> Hello, Jennifer. I was thinking of a good translation for the word "kriebel" and the best I could come up with was "vibes" and then I wanted more context and tried Google: I was convinced. "vibes" is just informal English: see Longman Dict of Cont Eng.
