How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

: Indeed, 'in transit' (cf. 'deposits in transit') and not 'in progress'. In fact, this option was already suggested by Phil (see his comment to Lianne's answer above).

But Phil agreed with in progress. There can be all sorts of reasons for "in progress" such as administrative hangups which are not the same as "in transit".

: "Being processed" would work, but not "processing". Or you could say "in transit" or "pending". The exact meaning doesn't matter - perhaps they're being held up by the bank.

I recently did a large job with lots of these terms for an app. This would perfectly fit that context, so that's where I was coming from.

However, I can see, linguistically, 'outstanding payments' is an option as well.
Ik denk bij nader inzien zelfs dat 'outstanding payments' (vs 'deposits in transit') in deze specifieke context ('bank reconciliation', 'reconciling items') de beste vertaling is voor 'betalingen onderweg'. Zie bijvoorbeeld:
