Je me demande bien ce que cette abréviation peut signifier.

RTAs will verify that TdRs for formulation incorporate gender and that project documents also incorporate gender analysis and mainstreaming in design/planning /budgeting before any prodoc goes to **in-country or HQ IC**

ça doit etre un organe ou service de direction, qui se trouve tant dans les bureaux de pays qu'au siège de cette agence des Nations Unie, mais j'ai un blanc...

Agree with Colin Unless the translation Anne used is not "Comité des placements". I am actually wondering if this is the right translation. Is that committee in charge of the "placements" or rather of the "depenses d'investissement"? Investing in a small enterprise to help the owner get out of misery is not a "placement", but rather an "investissement", no? Consquently, shouldn't the committe be called the "Comité des investissements"?

@ Colin Ok, I see what you mean, and indeed, it does make sense. : )

Not only that, I think you are right. Prodoc (usually written ProDoc on the UNCDF site is indeed the "project document", and there is a headquarters Investment Committee, and they also have an investment committee in each country they work with.

@Marc I imagine that "prodoc" refers to the "project documents" mentioned a couple of lines earlier.

As for "any prodoc goes to in-country", yes. I understand "in-country" here as being an adjective referring to the IC, i.e. "before any project documentation is sent to the in-country investment committee (the investment committee in the country concerned) or to the investment committee at the headquarters of UNCDF".

@Marc I had already wondered whether it meant "in-country HQ", but then the sentence makes no sense:

"...before any prodoc **goes to in-country** or HQ in country"

Whatever "IC" stands for (see my answer for what I think it means), a distinction is being made here between two kinds of "IC": the "in-country IC" and the "IC back at HQ".
