wesenhaft/eigen

intrinsic concerns the nature of the thing/person referred to

"immanent" is mainly applied in philosphy, most often in conjunction with a specific system/cognizance. However, nowadays it might concern concrete systems as well (political, technical...)

intimate = "inneres, geheimes" usually refers to some kind of emotion

organic = organisch concerns a concrete organism. The right translation might, however, be "immanent". For example, an "organic fault" is usually a "systemimmanenter Fehler".

There's really no one definite translation for these terms; they all depend on the context.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thank you for your efforts at making the term understandable to me! If you have a chance can you confirm via email that with eigen you were referring to the sense - sich etw. zu eigen machen - or was it a different implication - b/c I am entering the term in the glossary. Thank you very much!"

inhärent

that is what I found to intrinsic:
value of a measure determined when maintenance and operational conditions are assumed to be ideal = inhärent
