English term
Revived claims
English to Greek
Bus/Financial
Insurance
"According to the agreement, on the closing date, the company will transfer X the assets covering the Outstanding Claims Reserve (IBNR claims and Revived Claims included)..."

\"Re-opened claims\"
Outstanding claims reserve (OCR)
A provision for the estimated amount of claims that have not been settled. It can be interpreted in at least two different ways so care is needed. For example:
(1) To include only claims that have been reported; in this case the provision may be called the Reserve for Notified (or Reported) Outstanding Claims.
(2) To include all claims not yet settled, i.e. including IBNR, IBNER, re-opened claims and future claims expenses.

Types of reserves associated with:
* Case reserves
* Future development on known claims
* Re-opened claims
* Incurred but not reported (IBNR)
* Reported but not yet recorded
http://tinyurl.com/75a46
The returns call for the number of claims ‘attributable to the year of
origin’. Whilst this expression is ambiguous and has been interpreted in different ways, it is explained in the text of the regulations and comprises notified claims and, to begin with, Incurred but not Reported (IBNR) claims (see also Section 5.1). However, when this definition is accepted, it becomes clear that a column should be provided for it, since the actual numbers will vary, at least for the
first two or three years, as further claims are notified and errors and duplications removed. The number should equal the bottom figure of column 4 (open claims) plus the total to date of columns 2 and 3 (settled claims) subject to the treatment of claims reopened after previously being shown as settled.
Claims previously considered as settled may be reopened because further unanticipated liability under the policy arises or because there is a recovery, i.e., an unanticipated payment is obtained from a third party responsible for the claim. It is therefore to be expected that reopened claims may have small or even negative amounts in excess of the figures at which the first closure occurred.
