A nyomdákban igen gyakran használnak ilyen gépeket (akár magával a nyomdagéppel egybeépítve).

Mit szólsz a következőkhöz:

--------------------------------------------------
Akkor a nyomó-feldolgozó gép kifejezést javasolnám...

A hivatkozásokba bele fogok olvasgatni, köszönöm őket. |

Íme a megrendelő magyarázata:
„Converting presses, converting industry.
Our presses are manufactured solely for the needs of converting industry, which, you could probably say, is a subdivision of printing, where the same types of substrates are used, e.g. plastics (PE, PET, etc., etc.) and papers, however the process is not to print these materials, but to laminate, die-cut, kiss-cut, slit, coat and so on, in order to produce either a finished rolled stock or cut it into individual components. An example where these machines could be used would be, e.g., medical industry to produce various types of dressings, automotive industry (gaskets, seals, etc.) and numerous others.”
Converting machines are used to convert all kinds of products to smaller sizes and shapes, including paper, film, foam, felt, polyester, and tissue-based products. Some converting machines also configure products with tapered or glued edges, or perforate and laminate particular materials. Paper converting machines include slitting, sheeting, and rewinding machinery that cut and shape rolls of paper for use in various paper applications. Other types of paper converting machinery include corrugating machines and box-making machines, which take raw paper stock and through a series of integrated machine units, can cut, fold, glue, and print cardboard boxes.
Web converting machinery converts roll stock to other configurations and involves using slitting, unwinding, and rewinding machines. A slitter is a converting machine that cuts a large roll of material and rewinds the material into smaller individual rolls. These web converting machines may also apply glue to one side, such as in the manufacturer of tape or self-adhesive labels. Another type of web converting machine is a rewinding or doctoring machine, which can salvage a poorly-wound roll of stock by unwinding and rewinding it, rather than scrapping the material. Web converting machines can be used on paper and film as well as other kinds of materials, including plastics, laminates, fabrics, and vinyl. Manufacturers of converting machines are located across the United States and around the world."
