nas, i think hanim raises a very good/telling point about it being a pesta. \"bake sale\" is a very western [american?] thing and in its english form it\'s very much understood that it\'s a type of fair. as we can see, this is not apparent in the translation.
therefore i\'d like to amend my suggestion to \"pesta jualan kuih-muih\" to incorporate hanim\'s point. [thanks hanim! i\'ve made a note of this myself in my personal list of flagged words/terms - a reminder.]

Literally, yam2's answer is correct but bake sales kind of remind me of the concept of 'pesta ria' normally held by schools, companies and organisations to raise funds where all sorts of goods (normally home cooked foods) will be sold. The festivity of 'pesta ria' closely resemble bake sales festival.
