Self Healing/Self Repair

The difference is that Self Healing is triggered by accessing advertised entry points (ie. shortcuts, extensions, verbs). Self repair on the other hand can be initiated by hitting the 'Repair' button in Add/Remove programs, via the command line (msiexec /f) or even by using Active Setup.

Just make a note that with the link that MaggieH has provided, there is actually a correction that has been made via an explanation of how self healing works by EdT.

A auto-cura é acionada pelo acesso dos pontos de entrada anunciados (isto é, atalhos, extensões, verbos). O auto-reparo, por outro lado, pode ser iniciado ao se pressionar o botão "Reparo" nos programss Adiconar/Remover, via linha de comando (msiexec/f) ou mesmo usando Active Setup.
