Realmente el termino se refiere a paquetes o cartas de correo q durante los años 40 y 50 eran entregados de persona a persona o de puerta a puerta haciendo la entrega mas personal y rapida. Actualmente ese tipo de entregas ya no existe.
El termino no se puede traducir literalmente pq pierde su significado actual. Es uno de esos dichos de antaño.
En la actualidad se refiere a un parto sencillo y sin complicaciones. O mas bien a la espera anciosa del nuevo miembro de la familia, y a el detalle de los preparativos para su llegada.
