Strum es rasguear, tocar la guitarra con rasguidos. (Tal vez se use "rasgueador" en música, yo esa palabra sólo la conozco para quien escribe con rasguidos).

agree The Proofreader : Creo que "strummer" no tiene traducción al español. "Rasgueador", de acuerdo a la RAE, tiene otro significado (http://buscon.rae.es/draeI/SrvltConsulta?TIPO_BUS=3&LEMA=ras... En cambio,"guitarrista" funciona bien y mantiene el sentido del original.

por el contexto, me parece que se trata de Joe Strummer, ya que David Bowie no se adapta a la descripcion
