It is on top of a jeweller's ad. Would you say "Buscamos para comprar" is an appropriate translation? Or do you feel "Compramos oro, joyas, etc. is more suitable in Spanish?

En España se ve mucho "compro oro", aunque "compramos oro" también es correcto y se ve. Quizá el primero sea más corto a la hora de poder poner unas letras más grandes.
