Does anyone know what K-5 stand for? they also have "Boys 6-8 Required Dress Uniform" so I assume 6-8 is the age. But what does K stand for?

Kindergarten through 5th grade

first year of school in US, about 5/6 years old if I remember correctly.

... and 6-8 would be six through eighth grades.

We do things backwards in the US, by the way. We begin in Kindergarten, then go to first grade, finally graduating high school in 12th grade!
Sixième and sixth grade happen to correspond as far as age goes ...
