Come tradurreste "top-side back"? Mi risulta che "topside", nel linguaggio nautico", significhi "opera morta".

"The transfer structure preferably comprises a top-side deck and a plurality of surface piercing columns having a diameter, or a characteristic diameter, where the columns are separated by a distance which is preferably at least four times as large as said diameter or characteristic diameter."
