The whole sentence:

"The pump will cycle rapidly initially and as it approaches an aoutput pressure equal to the ratio times the air drive pressure, it will gradually slow down and finally 'stall'".

I am afraid there is a mistake in this sentence...sounds like something is missing! Or is it just monday morning for me?

Mi sa che hairagione. Ratio sembra essere appeso cosi' senza nulla a cui faccia riferimento. Presumo che times=moltiplica.
Vediamo se qualcun'altro ne capisce di piu'.

Per Cristina: Domenica potrebbe avere ragione. Non e\' che la frase e\' un\'ellissi e ratio e\'spiegato precedentemente (magari 2 pagine prima?)
