Con este objetivo, la Fundación Entorno promueve en España el programa internacional ***Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) *** cuya finalidad es establecer una estructura de trabajo globalmente aceptada para la elaboración de memorias en las que se recojan todos los aspectos de la sostenibilidad: medioambiental, económico y social. El proceso de discusión del ***GRI***, convocado por el CERES (Coalition for Environmentally Responsible Economies), comenzó su andadura a finales de 1997 y cuenta con la participación activa de corporaciones, ONG´s, asesores, asociaciones empresariales, universidades y otros grupos de interés de todo el mundo. Global Reporting Initiative Explanation: En la gran mayoría de las páginas de la Red figura directamente como "Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)".
