En verdad creo que depende de la profesión.
De inmediato he pensado en una fábrica o en un entorno sanitario.
Aquí "coat" sería como la bata de un médico o de un empleado en una fábrica de alimentos.
Bib sería un delantal o, por ejemplo, en ciertas pruebas clínicas, un mandil reforzado con plomo para salas donde se emite radiación.
Sin más contexto es difícil saber. Está claro, "coat" podría ser un abrigo, bib dudosamente sería un babero.

Estoy viendo ropa de la marca "Carharrt" , donde aparecen "bib overalls", unos pantalones con peto. No parece que esta marca haga un tipo de ropa "industrial" sino más bien de moda, por lo que coat puede ser eso simplemente, un abrigo o más bien una chaqueta/cazadora ¿campera lo llamáis allí?
