Discussion

rkillings Feb 23, 2013:
Leave as is Since SCR (= Solvency Capital Requirement) is in English, these 2-letter initialisms are very probably in English also.

Any other information from text regarding CA or TA?

Hi,

These codes are specifically developed by the Banque de France so I think that you would need to leave the codes in and perhaps follow them with an explanation in brackets.

La rubrique CA = autre crédit à court terme
La rubrique TA = autres crédits à moyen long terme

CA (other short-term loan)
TA = (other mid- to long-term loan)

Do a ctrl+f on "rubrique CA" and you'll find the explanation here: http://www.fiben.fr/pdf/fibenligne10.pdf

Here is a good explanation in English of Fiben and you can see that there are plenty of codes which are best left untranslated to avoid confusing the reader:

I've found this reference now too which is ideal as it proves that the CA and TA are left as they are in English and offers the transation:

You need to go to page 3 of the latter document.
