French term

“AGF VARIATIONS”

French to English Bus/Financial Insurance
From the heading of a letter notifiying a customer of an insurance premium coming due – directly opposite the address.
Directly underneath “AGF VARIATIONS” is “ Contrat no. ….”.

I found out AGF stands for “Assurances Générales de France”, which is a subsidiary company of this company.
The “variations” is what is confusing, given that there’s not much context.

The target audience is US.

Thanks in advance.

Discussion

It has to be variations. I don't see how else you could translate it even if it does say "no changes".
philgoddard Oct 25, 2017:
It's the same word in English! It means changes, for example to the type of policy.

AGF - bought out in 2009, I think, by Allianz, - had/has a a contract for house insurance called Variations, which has various (!) names Variations 25, Variations 50, Variations 100. The only link I have so far is this http://agfdijond.chez-alice.fr/assurance.html#Variations
No doubt because as I said AGF has been bought out by Allianz
I suppose you could put in front of "AGF VAriations" the word "insurance option" or words to that effect

Scott, in answer to your note.... just a hunch, which appeared to pay off, these insurance companies have lovely names for various policies (plénitude, sérénité.... etc)
Though as I said, I guess it's an option that doesn't exist any more (maybe your document does date from before the takeover). I wish I'd found something from the company's site...
Note from asker:
Thanks, katsy! I'm amazed you found this link -- I did not find that one. I appreciate your help.
Yes, it appears to be another one of the "lovely names" ..... haha And the document could very well be from before the takeover. Your answer definitely makes sense. It was something I was pondering also, but couldn't verify. So your link was very helpful.
