OMIT THIS WORD/extremities
Dear Harold, there is no appropriate translation for this word; it just doesn't exist in the context of make-up (anything else seems like you're talking about a corpse). You are better off just omitting this word, which is for all intents and purposes superfluous. If you insist on keeping it, try "extremities such as nails etc." but that term is even a bit off.

Simon Oliver
: This is clearly the best solution, but as it is a patent translation it may be wiser to stick to Francis's ridiculous-sounding 'dander'.

skin appendage
(most often in plural, as in French). English doesn't have a specific word like French.

hmm, I wonder, why most of the others seem to have such difficulties with that word. Already your text itself makes it abundantly clear, that (plainly human) skin appendages are meant here, not dander or anything restricted to animals.
For further evidence I add some French references that explain the French use of the word :

epithelial appendage
This is a possibility but dander may be your best one. Being a patent you may want to use the more technical sounding term I've indicated here.
