Plateau avec masque

French to English Other Textiles / Clothing / Fashion Product information (shoe)
Hello all,
This describes a moccasin type girl's shoe with a stitched on upper and a decorative strip of leather across the upper near the top. As far as I can tell, plateau = sole but I haven't been able to discover what masque is in this context. Very grateful for any suggestions!
Plateau avec masque et légèrement moins couvrant que le mocassin garçon

Ah apron, that sounds better! Many thanks!

apron Termium gives "apron" for "plateau" specially for moccasins:

And here the "masque" is clearly the leather strap that appears on lots of moccasins:

Hope this helps!

Have now discovered that plateau is the front part of the shoe here, I think it may be called a vamp. So I suppose that this masque is the strip of leather across it.
