I think it's some kind of ethic advisor/overseer but does anyone know the specific title for someone in this position in a company? thanks in advance!
Ethics/Professional Conduct
Explanation:
I do not agree with Yolanda. In my experience, ombudsmen are appointed under specific statutes, each with a speicifc area of responsibility again, clearly defined by statute.

Examples :
- Conveyancing Ombudsman : appointed under (Courts & Legal Serivces Act) CLSA 1990, s.43 to consider and report on any breach of the regulations concerning the conduct of authorised conveyancing practionners.
- Legal Services Ombudsman under CSLA also)... appointed to investigate the way in which a complaint has been handled by legal professional bodies.
- Insurance Ombudsman :
(see site below)
- Banking Ombudsman...

These are thus officially appointed positions and the term "ombudsman" is not applicable to internal corporate ethical and professional conduct departments.

I used to work for the Legal Department of a UK professional accountancy body. The department dealt with Complaints against members and dispensed ethical advice. Job titles in such circumstances are open of course, but common titles are : Ethics Officer, Professional Conduct Advisory Officer, or something of that ilk. Check statutory professioanl bodies, Law Society, Accoutancy bodies, Bar Council, British Medical Association (BMA)- all professional bodies have such departments.

Good luck

Nikki

ombudsman

Explanation:
Déontologie, in a business context, means *business practices*. In English, someone who watches over the business practices of an enterprise is the *ombudsman* (Word comes from Swedish, doesn't have a "female" form)

1 hr
Professional OR inancial ethics advisor

Explanation:

Exemples :
Chris is the Squadron Professional Ethics Advisor for 100 cadets

Miller is the Cadet Leadership Program Manager for the Athletic Department, a Squadron Professional Ethics Advisor, and physical education instructor.

D'après "Medical ethics advisor", on peut aussi imaginer d'autres catégories, selon les contextes :
- Medical Ethics Advisor
- Financial Ethics Advisor (d'après "Interim Report of the Financial Ethics Committee )
