place of jurisdiction

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks. The subtlety of the response made of lot of sense given the varied and multiple usage (the 2 suggestions subsequently made by others were over-specific and didn't work in context). Salut! Paul"

Tribunal

Answer provided by FLP is entirely correct (place of jurisdiction) en by extension, therefore, "tribunal"

court, tribunal

With all due respect to the first answer, as I understand it "for" refers to the court or the tribunal itself rather than to its jurisdiction or place thereof, which is more a question of scope of authority ; in either terms of matters of law which is has the authority to rule upon, or in terms of country, domicile.

One of the examples provided by EuroDicAutom gave : "for compétent", ie tribunal having jurisdiction. A subtle difference, but then I can claim no particular experience of Swiss law.
