German term

Nebenabreden sind nicht getroffen

German to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) AGBs
After searching here and in various other offline and online resources, I have found contradictory translations for the following:

"Mündliche Nebenabreden zu diesem Vertrag sind nicht getroffen."

I am not sure of the force of "sind" here. Is it:

"Oral ancillary agreements to this contract are not considered here."

or rather

"Oral ancillary agreements to this contract shall not be considered." (i.e., are invalid).

I am pretty sure it is the second meaning that is intended, but would like to check to be on the safe side.

Thanks in advance!

German term (edited): Nebenabreden ... sind nicht getroffen
Selected

No oral collateral agreements beyond this agreement have been made.

I would stick to "oral" and not "verbal". This is the more usual phrase in relation to English contracts
Peer comment(s):

neutral writeaway : rather sweeping statement about verbal/oral http://www.contractsandagreements.co.uk/law-and-verbal-agree... looks like oral is more North American speak, if anything
