lifts open in summer
is what I'd say and is what is suggested by this link:

Not all the lifts in ski areas are open in summer - for obvious reasons in the case of drag lifts! - but some chair lifts, cablecars, gondolas in popular tourist areas will remain open.

: This term can be confusing, as it means something different in USE and BE (see my comments under "aerial tramway").

summer chair lift / chairlift
there are several hits in Google for the term "summer chairlift" and one for "summer chair lift"
in this context "Sommeraufstiegshilfe" is synonymous with "Sessellift/Gondellift"
there are a few hits in Google for the German terms "Sommer Sessellift" as well as "Sommer Gondellift"

: this is actually a cable car, so I wouldn´t use the term chairlift which is a Sessellift in German

aerial tramway
Wikipedia gives aerial tramway as the universal term,
In BE "cable car" is correct, but in US English "cable car" is most often a surface cable car system (a la San Francisco). So if you wish to avoid confusion, aerial tramway would seem to be the universal term.
BTW: In an Alpine context, the German term Seilbahn is also often used in English.

The Rofan Seilbahn has large closed cars, larger than the socalled (incorrectly, according to Wiki) "gondola cars".

cableway
I find the term tram inappropriate when talking about a Seilbahn.
Also car, although correct, makes me think more of wheels
