Italian term
licenziante del licenziante
Italian to English
Law/Patents
Law: Contract(s)
This is from a contract for sports image rights:
I don't know why they write 'licenziante del licenziante'.
Any ideas? thanks

final licensor
here's what I think it is:
say a sportswear maunfacturer signs a deal with a football club to use its sportswear, the deal will include the right of the manufacturer to use coverage of its star player, but the star player may have to sign a contract with his club giving permission for the club to in turn allow the manufacturer to use his image, hence he is a licensor of the licensor or I'd say, final licensor.

Yes, it confirms my answer - it means that even if say, Nike signs a deal with Real Madrid (LICENZIANTE), they don\'t have the right to use footage of David Beckham in their advertising, even though he plays for RM, unless they cut a deal with Beckham, or the club cuts a deal with Beckham. Beckham is thus the LICENZIANTE of the LICENZIANTE, presumably because he licenses the club to use his image, which in turn licenses Nike.

is it any clearer? I'm still unsure
