In translating a company statute I come across the following sentence which I have a bit of problem structuring in English... " il collegio giudicherà ed adottera il lodo con la massima libertà di forma dovendosi considerare ad ogni effetto come irrituale"
My problem comes whn I translate *irrituale* which means Irregular. so it poses a problem in deciphering the whole sentence. If it is "iirregular" why take on the judging?Any help?

deregulated, not bound by procedure
The (arbitration) board [or panel of arbitrators] will have the utmost freedom of form in judging and arriving at its [arbitral] award, since at all events it is not deemed to be bound by specific procedure.
Presuming that this refers to arbitration, I think 'irrituale' means that this is arbitration ex aequo et bono, where the decision need not be strictly in accordance with the formal regulations.
