سینه جزء اصل اصطلاح است. بله.
اصطلاح کامل «دست رد بر/به سینه‌ی کسی زدن» است. کما این که حافظ در شعر خویش می‌گوید:
مدعی خواست که آید به تماشاگه راز
دست غیب آمد و بر سینه نامحرم زد
