As this is concerned, finish here (and in many other cases) simply means the color of the surface of that speaker box. How that surface was manufactured, it can be anything. I doubt that they make this kind of stuff out of real cherry. But even this is the case, it does not change what they want to say. If this is really the case, and it is clear from the text, make it made out of cherry wood so that is sounds more expensive.
It is common I think, when you look at all those boxes in an electronics store, to see these kinds of labels indicating color: black, silver, cherry, and so on.
