Spanish term

parc

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering quotation for building project - Spain
Across the top of each page of the price quote are: desc., uds., long., anch., alt., *parc.,* cantidad, precio, and importe. Some of the columns are blank at times (such as under "long.") but this one is always filled in, with a random array of numbers that don't give much clue as to the meaning.

@Jessica The more I think about it, the more I feel that "sub-total" is the best way of dealing with this. If Lorena feels like posting it, I shall agree with her, but she suggested it first, so I'm not going to post it myself.

I appreciate your help!! It was a revelation to me that the figure under "parc." was the product of the other figures. Now I know it's "parciales," I have been googling it with 'presupuesto" without coming up with anything better than "sub-total." If I end up with a few extra hours before my deadline, I will take a closer look at some English construction quotes, to see if they have anything closer to offer. I really appreciate your help with this. It is repeated on every page, so it seemed extra-important to get it right. Many thanks!!

Lorena "Sub-total" was one of my first thoughts too, and I think it may be the best answer, but what deterred me from posting it was that in all the examples I found of construction budgets and estimates, "subtotal" referred to a cost, not a quantity.

David In my simple mind I would call it sub-total. the subtotal becomes the quantity which multiplied by the price gives you the total amount

By the way, it can't be "partial costs", because it's not a cost, it's a quantity.

Lorena I've been spending the last 45 minutes or so trying to find out the English for "parciales"! It's been very frustrating, I can tell you. If anyone knows, please post it and put me out of my misery! It's the quantity multiplied by the length, width and height (if any) for that item. Item total? Item quantity? Line quantity? I don't know.

My first thought was "parcela" but it is one project -- one building for one client. For a subdivision, that would work, but instead, for every one of the categories, brickwork, plumbing, etc. there are numbers with decimals under "parc."

Jessica Your question is not particularly clear since the actual term you are looking for does not appear on the title, I believe you are looking for parc since it is the word between * I believe this means parcela, as in lot or plot of land...maybe the random numbers are the measurements of the lot
