Spanish term
SNDM
Spanish to English
Medical
Medical (general)
Medical Abbreviations, Medical Imaging
These initials follow the Doctor's name and title on a complete abdominal tomography report. I don't know what country it's from.
Dra. Fulana, Radiologo - SNDM -
The only thing I've been able to find is Sobre Nivel Del Mar and I'm pretty sure that's not the right translation.
Thanks for your help and any guidance to locating medical abbreviations in Spanish.

Special Needs doctor of Dental Medicine
Special Needs doctor of Dental Medicine- this is just something I found out there
At least the Special Needs sounds about right.

: Clearly when the context is abdominal tomography, and the physician is a radiologist, the abbreviation will have nothing to do with dentistry.

Note from asker:
Well, I've contacted www.snm.org to see if they have any ideas. At least we're on the right track, I think. |
I found this today: "-Sistema Nacional de Resonancia Magnética (SNDM). Se formó una comisión de trabajo para la creación de este sistema. El propósito es optimizar el funcionamiento de los grandes equipamientos de resonancia magnética nuclear y electrónica, instalados en instituciones del sistema académico y científico argentino. -Sistema de Datos del Mar (SNDM)." at this website: http://www.mincyt.gov.ar/ministerio/informes/pdf/Anexo_informativo_2009.pdf The initials don't really make a lot of sense to me; why not SNRM? What do you all think? |
Discussion
You might notice that we have moved from Argentina to Guatemala -- I finally got a nation of origin for the documents.
I didn't consider a typo because the title appeared on 2 reports. Next time I'll think about that.
Thanks for your help.
I am not saying that they are numerous. Sometimes it is just a slip of the mind at some stage. Double-checking is always worth doing as in this case.

If this belongs to the Heading of the document or is placed at the end after description and diagnosis might also point in the right direction.
