ripe for decision
"Se tiene a la vista para dictar sentencia", often expressed "visto (el caso) para sentencia" means that all evidence has been taken, all witness heard, and all procedural steps taken, and that nothing is left except for the judge to render his decision. In English this is known (believe it or not) as being "ripe for judgment."
Here is the definition from Black's Law Dictionary (6th ed.).
"Ripe for judgment--an action that is so far advanced, by verdict, default, confession, the determination of all pending motions, or other disposition of preliminary or disputed matters, that nothing remains for the court but to render the appropriate judgment."
But in this particular case, I believe the decision cannot be called a "judgment" because in English decisions in divorce proceedings are called "decrees" rather than judgments. Nor do I believe "sentence" would be appropriate, since "sentencia" is "judgment," rather than "sentencia" (false cognate), while in English (in criminal proceedings)"sentence" is the "condena" (pronouncement imposing the punishment after a verdict of guilty has been rendered). For these reasons I have chosen "ripe for decision."
