step/steps

Pisadera exists, and from what I've seen in Google, it's the 'running-board' of old cars, and step/steps for boarding lorries and trains etc.

See this extract from a glossary:

pirulo,-a Chile Persona refinada. Lugar lujoso.
pis España Orina. Mear. Meada. Pija de niño pequeño.
pisada Navarra Pisarreca.
***pisadera Chile Escalones.***
pisadero Argentina Lugar donde se pisa el barro para la fabricación de adobe.

So:
'Pisadera' (from Chile) means 'Escalones'.

Could this be, by any chance, "pasadera" instead of pisarela...

pisadera is simply a step....
pasadera= steppingstone, catwalk, walkway, footbridge

Hope it helps.

Happy translating! Maria ;o)

steps (on bus - Chile)

Hi,

In Chile "micro" is a bus, and "pisadera" refers to the steps to get on or off the bus. In Chile, although forbidden, people still travel on the "pisadera" when the bus is packed.

Good luck!
