Swedish term

stripes

Swedish to English Other Food & Drink Fast food
Appears in a response in a marketing survey involving a certain worldwide purveyor of hamburgers and French fries, as "hamburgare och stripes".

Is "stripes" a menu item "där borta" that I haven't heard about over here?

strips (chips/fries)

It's a typo - "strips" is what the Swedes sometimes call very thin chips (or if you are from the US, fries).

agree Hanna Dermes : It is just slang for french fries (being thin, crinkled or any shape)

thanks - of course to me (being a Brit), any fries that are not UK-style chip shaped (ie considerably thicker than french fries) are thin!
agree Paul Lambert : Yes. "Strips" it is - meaning chips or french fries. No question.
