Problems in cleaning up: error 50202

Hello,

I don't know why but in the last time I'm no more able to do a clean up (I use Trados freelance 6.5).
I always get an error (50202): Word could not convert the document due to an OLE/COM or file name error.
What happened? How can I solve the problem?

The same happened to me Sep 4, 2006

And after having tried for hours I solved in this way:

I placed the folder containing the last file I had cleaned in the sampe place it was when I cleaned the last file,

Now it works, but If I move this folder it does not work anymore.

I don't know the reason, I just can tell you in which way I was able to solve that problem.

...to SDL Trados Support - please use this forum to post topics related to SDL and/or Trados.

Can you save the Word file as RTF?
If not, have you tried to clean using the Tw4WinClean.Main macro? (Search this forum for details about this.)

Word 2000 vs Word 2003 Sep 5, 2006

Did you open the file in Word 2000? And was the file originally created in Word 2003?

That was the error I had recently. Wrong Word version.

I haven't moved any folder, so it's strange....and I also don't know if the files were created in Word 2000 (I use Word 2003). But strange is that some files come from a client with whom I've worked for the last 3 months and it never happened before...

I'll try now saving th file as RTF and then with the macro suggestion..
