When it comes to Information Technology, the term “migrations” means shifting from one system to another or shifting from a service package to another especially with a sense of upgrade. Accordingly, if I am in your place I will not adopt a word-for-word translation and I’d rather adopt the translation spirit (translating the targeted meaning) in addition to the IT glossaries support this meaning, such as IBM glossary that states:

: Naql (نقل ) would seem the better of those two terms, since 'migration' in this field = transference or carry-over.
