I think that PROPIEDAD means more than just "property" in the quote below from a contract to build a subway in Barcelona. I am unsure as to what the full term would be in English.

"X es adjudicataria de la obra Y por cuenta Z, en lo sucesivo PROPIEDAD.

In the case above, it seems to be referring to the construction site or development site where for the subway project.
