It's in the glossaries - I know! I know! I have just read them in detail... in particular Charlie's answer, which was automatically graded by peer agreement.....
.....back in 2002. Well, I have only reposted this question as that was quite a long time ago and I just wondered if any of you brains out there had any useful updates as it seemed a bit of a difficult one at the time and someone might have had it come up more recently.
Here's how it appears in my current document (and I am looking for a neat way of rendering it):
Cette nouvelle organisation se mettra en œuvre en plaçant en location gérance l’ensemble des activités de Brasserie X (effectifs, portefeuille clients, marques, contrats, production, stocks…) auprès de Y.
Y being the larger brewery concern and X being the smaller one being managed, taken over or whatever.

Whilst I stand by my original answer in legal contexts (http://www.proz.com/kudoz/535614 for those intrigued by F2E's comment!), and think that "leaseD management" (not lease mgt, which could = the mgt of leases) can sometimes fit, I think here you can probably paraphrase, along the lines of:
"organisation...whereby Y leases managerial control of all of X's (business) activities" or something similar.
For a more formal document, a footnote with "an arrangement known as LG in France" might be useful, if you feel it necessary, so the reader can investigate further but without interrupting the flow.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer.
Comment: "I must admit that I did feel this needed to be paraphrased in the cirumstances to avoid any possible confusion. Previous CB answer on this one was very helpful too. Thanks to other answerers for an interesting discussion and some good points. "

under a management agreement

the glossary gives it as a management agreement. Whilst Y might own X it is possible for the parent company Y to charge X for fees for example for certain 'management' services.
However I do own up that from your sentence it is not clear who will be doing the managing!! hence my low confidence!

Maybe we are getting confused by the auprès de Y part....
From one of your other questions (that the brewer was buying another one...)...perhaps Y is buying X yet leaving it's original management in place to run it under an agreement?

: From the context and everyone's explanations, I'd go with lease management.

: this sounds accurate and natural - why mess with what works?

: this is not a lease management. the owner of the brewery x is not granting anything, it is a "new organisation" handing over management of x to y.

on transitional(or caretaker) management
the word i could come up with here is "transition", this is how it is expressed in nigeria. occurs in nigeria all the time. the new organisation is a transitional organisation or decision making body acting against brewery x's management for reasons we don't know but not to overturn the status quo until something (i believe) is achieved by this organisation/body, xx is put under a "caretaker management" by appointing qualified hands at yy which would be agreed upon too. eventually, in time, yy would hand over back control, therefore, my choice of "transitional"

Definition in Bridge: leasing of a business in which the lessee runs the business on his own account and at his own risk. - supports Charlie's note above.
