What seems like...is curiously flat.

English to Spanish Art/Literary Linguistics traducci{on
The art of intensifying language that retains a surface simplicity is as constant in poetic art as is the oppsite tendency toward ornamentation, but it was, until the nineteenth century, always assisted by recurring rhythm and usually rhyme as well. When these factors are eliminated, the poet needs all the more to find an increased emotional resonance in the words themselves. This is why much contemporary poetry, which might appear more readily translatable than earlier works, is in fact more difficult. What seems like the natural even the inevitable, translation is curiously flat.
