Lapsus!! leva "al ribasso", perché in realtà gli atti compiuti servono a "mascherare" il valore vero del titolo (di qualunque natura, e un fondo è un "agglomerato" di titoli le cui quote sono assimilabili a titoli).

non sono esperto, ma mi pare di capire che hanno usato i titoli negativi per far abbassare il valore delle azioni. Spero di averti in qualche modo aiutato :)

Illegal? Such tinkering seems fairly common among my kind of stocks--that is, cheap, risky, thinly traded Nasdaq issues boasting little besides potential. I ask my money-manager friend Jim what is going on. "Oh, yeah," he says immediately. "That's called painting the tape. Traders sometimes do it at the end of the day to make a stock portfolio look larger." They also do it, I contend, to suck in unsuspecting investors.

One form of tape painting — as in painting the old ticker tape — is to drive a stock’s price up (or down) at the close. Traders believe it is common at the end of quarters, since money managers are judged by quarterly performance. Buy 1,000 shares in the final seconds, and maybe you can drive up the reported value of the 200,000 shares you already own, and thus make your performance look better.
Since everyone knows this can happen, some short-sellers sit poised to add to their short positions if any of the shares they are betting against should show a surge in the final minutes. That helps to dampen volatility, and to make it harder for tape painting to succeed.

La mia è una "riflessione a voce alta", ma dici bene tu che trattandosi di titoli di pubblicazioni non possono avere un effetto se non strumentale, non di "azione diretta"...
