hello everyone, thanks for your valuable help!! @bernhard: this is a real zoo!
Bernhard Sulzer Oct 21, 2011:
Tiergarten @Martina: is this a "Tiergarten" with just "nice" animals or are you referring to a real zoo? Roar!

thank you!
neutral Bernhard Sulzer : it "could" sound a bit dangerous - I don't think they have any tigers there!? Or, at the petting zoo, when the visitors roar, the animals might get scared. But maybe they can, roar with the tigers. Possibly rip-roaring fun, as long as it's safe there ;)

neutral Bernhard Sulzer : were you thinking of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NUkhMq_iRo ; not so sure about "take an animal delight" :)... not sure what you are implying // the song is "Afternoon Delight" by the Starland Vocal Band. :)

Sorry, no youtube, thanks, no implication other than pleasure.

agree Helen Shiner : If it is not already a trademark, then this is a good solution.

neutral Bernhard Sulzer : a bit hard to read and say and it sounds a bit too complicated - but that might just be me.

Peer comment(s):

neutral Susan Welsh : To me it has a negative connotation.

Peer comment(s):

neutral Bernhard Sulzer : conjures up pictures of grown men on all fours. Well, maybe it's just the kids.

to feel animal wise well

to feel great
Example sentence:

She felt animalwise well in her new appartment.

Peer comment(s):

neutral oa_xxx (X) : never heard this before I'm afraid and "animalwise well" doesnt get any hits other than this page!
29 mins
neutral Bernhard Sulzer : that construction doesn't work in English, do you mean feel well/good like an animal/the way an animal feels??
2 hrs
neutral Kevin Fulton : This shows the hazard of relying blindly on Internet sources
3 hrs
disagree Lancashireman : The above reference brings Linguee into disrepute.

That is the most common English expression in this regard.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Bernhard Sulzer : It misses the connection to the "Tiergarten".

You are right. I had overlooked the extended context.
neutral Lancashireman : Taxidermy?
3 hrs
Don't know what it has to do with taxidermy, but you are right. I had overlooked the extended context.
