Intervista a un collezionista di scarpe da ginnastica che spiega perché gli piace un certo modello di una certa marca. Non riesco proprio a capire il senso qui. Potrebbe essere "mi scrisse una mail" ma non capisco cosa c'entra con il comprare le scarpe. Grazie a chiunque vorrà aiutarmi

I fell in love with shoes the minute I put that XX on and now I follow the new innovations. Soon after I got the XX, my mum **tool me a mail**. We went into a shoe shop and I saw the YY. When I tool them off the shelf, I noticed that the air panels were much bigger than the YY. As on 11 year old, I thought that nothing beat the XX. I started to save money and bought that pair. What does XX mean for me? Everything that makes a pair of shoes perfect.

Secondo me si tratta di un errore (e ce ne sono diversi nel testo riportato: When I tool them off the shelf dovrebbe essere When I TOOK them off the shelf. Inoltre as on 11 year old dovrebbe essere invece as AN 11 year old).

Quindi dato che ci sono svariati errori, penso che anche "tool me a mail" lo sia, e che voglia intendere (forse): she took me to a mall (mia mamma mi porto' in un centro commerciale). Mettendola in questo modo seguirebbe la logica della frase prima e delle frasi successive, ma io chiederei lumi al cliente se non si tratta di un grossolano typo.
