free upgrade from SDL Trados 7 to last version

I've heard that it is possible to upgrade free of charge from SDL Trados 7 (january 2006) to the most recent version.
Does anybody know if it's true? If yes what do I have to do to get this new version?

You can always check by logging in to the Trados Customer Centre:

https://www.sdl.com/asp/products/ssl/account/default.asp

with your email address and the password you received from Trados. If you are entitled to a more recent version, it should be available among the downloads listed.

Thank you very much Giles, I followed your suggestions and it worked. I was enabled to download a free upgrade.
It may simple to you, but it was a real help for me.

I had an account confirmed in june 2005, but now my email is not recognized in the SDL Trados login form...

I can't get my email address recognized either... I purchased T7 Freelance...
