French term

régalien

French to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) Board of Directors
This is from a document explaining the role of an Audit Committee within a Board of Directors (see last sentence):

Any suggestions for "un aspect presque régalien"?

Thanks!

ultimate responsibility

Loads of references but not many that really fit. Seems to be to do with "absolute power".

Maybe something like: "The Audit Comittee has the final say on these matters" would fit your context.

quasi divine right or all-powerful aspect of the Audit Committee

divine right of kings...idea,
or kingly aspect...but I think in English divine right works better...I'll leave the hyphens to you...:)
