Spanish term

suburbano

Spanish to English Other Transport / Transportation / Shipping
un suburbano se refiere un tren regional, tipo cercanías, like a commuter train.
I'm not even sure is it partly overground or underground, if that is important.
Any nice catchy words?
Cheers

underground

I think a suburbano train is simply the tube or underground, which goes under (sub) the city (urban). Regards.
Peer comment(s):

neutral neilmac : The tube is usually called "Metro" (metropolitano urbano) in Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia...

Yes, you are right, it was a deduction rather than a matter of fact, and I wanted to give another possibility, but thank you for your comment.
