Discussion
To me, a "fair" is something with attractions, rides, etc. (e.g. a State Fair or an employee health fair), whereas a "bazaar" implies selling-related activies. Although things are often also sold at a fair, it's not the main focus.
Again, I imagine the usage may be different in the UK, AU, etc., but that's the difference here in the US.
