Spanish term

Considerando (in this contect)

Spanish to English Other Insurance
I am translating an insurnace document for a construction company in Mexico.

What I am unsure of is the use of "considerando" in this sentence below. It says that the policy is valid from 30 Sep 09 to 30 Sep 10, so for 1 year, so I am confused what it means by the 12 months' maintenance period.

Además, se precisa que los proyectos de construcción y montaje estarán asegurados hasta que se hayan completado los trabajos, **considerando** los 12 meses, en lo que corresponde al periodo de mantenimiento.

This is what I have so far:

Furthermore, it is stated that the construction and assembly projects will be insured until the work is complete, taking into account the 12 months' maintenance period.

Is this the right meaning?

Thanks in advance

agree philgoddard : There shouldn't be an apostrophe after "months" - it's "12-month maintenance period".
