In the document I am translating, the customer is providing more facts to contest the countersuit under the title "hechos de la contestación a la demanda reconvencional."

'Contestar' here is the literal meaning, 'to contest', which means to oppose a legal or other type of decision a defendant disagrees with. Outside of contesting decisions, of course, more usual translations are 'to answer', 'reply' or 'respond'.
