French term
à partir des attentes
French to English
Tech/Engineering
Construction / Civil Engineering
Heating and air conditioning
Here is a curious use of the term "attentes", but it is used in a very similar context at "http://www.creps-nancy-lorraine.jeunesse-sports.gouv.fr/marc..."
L’alimentation électrique des équipements de ventilation se fera à partir des attentes laissées par le lot électricité au droit des armoires de ces équipements.

"Subparagraph" clinches it. This is CONTRACTUAL!

Where the electrical trade does not supply equipment, electrical services are to be ROUGHED IN as shown on tender documents

This is, however, however informal:
- ROUGHED IN PVC Drainage and Vent
- ROUGHED IN Copper Plumbing

This from a rather more formal Invitation to Tender:
All electrical for fuel pumps, island light and ROUGH IN conduit for future card reader from Change room in Service Centre. [ ... ] Petro Vend card reader to be ROUGHED IN, complete with all wiring, conduits and connections required for proper operation and future reconciliation

Thank God for Canadians! ;-)
As David says, this term has come up quite a number of times.
See http://www.proz.com/kudoz/french_to_english/engineering_gene... in particular.
In this case, the electrical contractor has left the power lines ready for connection to the ventilation equipment at the cabinets (presumably some sort of automatic controller cabinets).
