Italian term

Ufficio delle Ipoteche

Italian to English Law/Patents Law (general) testamento
Testamento Trascritto presso l'Ufficio delle Ipoteche di ...XXX(citta')

I know that in English The Probate Court registers the Transcriptions of the Wills, but in Italy in the 1920s at least there was this Office doing that.

The Testament was registered after the death of the person.

Any suggestion? It doesn't look like a Court.

Land Charge Office

I would avoid using "mortgage" as that applies to the debt, whereas here it is the security on land that is relevant.
Use of probate court would only confuse, and if I recall right, this court has been abolished in E&W.
Note from asker:
tks. Besides, Mortgage also holds a funny double meaning of mutuo and ipoteca. Elsewhere I was suggested Land Registry.

Land Registration Office/Land Titles Office

I think this would depend a lot on which country you are translating for?
Here are 2 options anyway.
Note from asker:
thank you.
