French term

Joues de finitions

French to English Tech/Engineering Furniture / Household Appliances Kitchen units
I found the image for the expression on Google, they are like facades/doors, but couldn't find the exact English term.

Discussion

Didier Fourcot Feb 8, 2014:

Sergio Guerbilsky (asker) Feb 8, 2014:
Quite basic - "Pas de cotés décors sur éléments bas et armoires petite hauteur.
Joues de finitions ou panneaux déco obligatoires si cotés visibles."
Somehow they seem to differentiate”cotés décors”, “joues de finitions” and “panneaux déco”.

decor end panels

Usually found on the end of a run of kitchen cupboards, they don't hace visible fixing holes and can be coloured/glossy to match the cabionet doors
Example sentence:

Each xxxx solid surfaced 100mm Decor End Panel is finished on both faces and on ONE vertical edge

there still are kitchen ranges where the decor end panel is part of the carcase,

Note from asker:
Makes perfect sense - when I saw the photos, they looked like facades, now I understand.

French term (edited): joue de finition

(decorative) end cheeks

If these are what I think they are: blank decorative panels to fit on the sides of end units, then I believe this is what they are called in EN.

It would help if you posted either a detailed description, or a link to a representative image on Googles, say; and you should be able to confirm (or not) by looking for Google images for this term.

Note that the alternative 'panels' is sometimes used instead of cheeks — depends a lot on the particular manufacturer.
